This special polymer is used to inflate the various balloons inside Alexandra’s devices, like her catheter and anal plug, to seal and trap them within her body. Once somewhat hardened, the polymer slowly begins to dissolve the balloon around it and then grow and fuse with the surrounding biological tissue. Through this process, the large sections of the devices inside Alexandra become a permanent part of her, as they literally fuse with her body.
Eventually, there is no longer any biological difference between the previously pumped in Biocompatible Polymer and the actual surrounding biological tissue. It has completely grown together, and the previously biological tissue has replaced and fused with the actual devices.
